"I'm Every Woman" was a hit song by Chaka Khan in 1978. Written by Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson, the soul/disco song was a Top 20 hit on the US Hot 100, and hit number-one on the US R&B singles chart.

Later, it was covered by Whitney Houston and turned into a great hit again for another generation in 1992.

It was interesting to know the teen-aged Whitney and her mother, Cissy did sing at the background vocals for Kahn in her original release.
